Hildur Knútsdóttir
Author of fiction for both adults and teenagers, as well as plays, screenplays and short fiction, considered evocative, advocating for environmental protection.
Some of her works were quick achievers, and have been translated into several languages and are being turned into a television series.
She has lived in Spain, Germany, and Taiwan and studied literature and creative writing at The University of Iceland.
Hildur has received numerous awards for her books, including the Icelandic Literature Prize in 2016 for the young adult novel Vetrarhörkur.
Hrím received the Bookseller’s Prize in 2023 and was nominated for the Icelandic Literature Prize the same year.
