Originally exhibited as a short in 2004, it was expanded to feature length in 2006. Both versions were produced by Lene Bausager, starring Sean Biggerstaff and Emilia Fox. Cashback is the story about a young art student in a supermarket. Directed by Sean Ellis, who also wrote the original short film.

The score was composed by Guy Farley. The soundtrack mixes gentle piano, orchestral tones, and subtle electronic beats, perfectly matching the film’s balance of romance, melancholy, and surrealism.
