Tíminn stendur í stað á þessari hættuför og ótal persónur koma við sögu, en áhrifamesta aðalsöguhetjan er Undrarútan sjálf, meistaralega teiknuð brunar hún, höktir, skröltir og glamrar á vegunum þar til hún tekst loks á loft. Undrarútan hlaut Bókmenntaverðlaun Norðurlandaráðs 2024.

Jakob Martin Strid spent 15 years writing and drawing The Wonder Bus, a magnificent work of literature that is truly for children of all ages, an ode to imagination and friendship. Jón St. Kristjánsson translates from Danish.

The story is about Takú and his friends who build a giant bus and travel with it to the happy land of Balanka to save the life of little Timós. Time stands still on this perilous journey and countless characters come into play, but the most impressive protagonist is the Wonder Bus itself, masterfully drawn, it burns, limps, rattles and clanks on the roads until it finally takes off. The Wonder Bus won the Nordic Council Literature Prize 2024.
