Event by Brenda Jansone and Asya Kozlova

A gathering where hunger, myth, and ritual merge.
This evening explores the shared appetite between humans and nature - instinct and desire, and the thin line between - creation and consumption.

Inspiration flows from Icelandic tales of ancient beings - both nurturing and devouring, both earth and body.

It will be something sweet - a piece of art for everyone to share, devour and taste.

A landscape. A body. An offering.

Brenda Jansone is a Latvian artist working with human forms and tactile materials. She explores bodies and their boundaries - both physical and societal - through casting and transformation. While replicating skin and body parts in silicone, she often works with themes of paganism and ritual, and more natural materials - chocolate, human hair, flowers, trees etc. Her work challenges perceptions of the body, creating bold and sometimes controversial pieces that reveal how complex, fascinating, and uniquely beautiful we - humans - truly are.

Asya Kozlova is a pastry chef and culinary artist with over seven years of experience in the fine dining and patisserie industry. She transforms traditional pastry craftsmanship into an artistic expression, creating edible sculptures that balance precision, texture, and emotion. Skilled in pastry techniques and inspired by visual aesthetics, she explores the boundaries between taste and form - where dessert becomes art.
