Lucien Clergue, French photographer, friend of Pablo Picasso and member of the Academy of Fine Arts. He founded the Rencontres d'Arles photography festival. Lucien Clergue's photographic collection comprises 595 photographs taken between l953 and 1978. The vast majority of them were taken in France.
As a director and cinematographer, known for Le drame du taureau (1966). Meeting Picasso and Cocteau led to numerous collaborations and opened doors for him.
