Ástríður Jósefína Ólafsdóttir (geb. 1990) ist eine isländische Künstlerin, die in Italien aufgewachsen ist und heute in Reykjavík lebt und arbeitet. 2013 schloss sie ihr Studium an der Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna ab und erwarb 2016 den Master in Bildender Kunst an der selben Institution. Bereits während ihrer Studienzeit begann Ástríður auszustellen, und seit 2012 wurden ihre Werke in verschiedenen Galerien und Kunsträumen in Italien und Island gezeigt. Im Mittelpunkt ihrer Arbeit steht der menschliche Körper – seine Verbindungen und Wechselwirkungen mit dem ihn umgebenden Raum. In den letzten Jahren richtet sie ihr Augenmerk verstärkt auf Stofflichkeit: Faltenwürfe, Drapierungen und das Fallen des Gewebes sowie dessen Beziehung zum Körper.

Ástríður Jósefína Ólafsdóttir (born 1990) is an Icelandic artist who grew up in Italy and now lives and works in Reykjavík. She graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna in 2013 and received a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the same institution in 2016. Ástríður began exhibiting while still a student, and since 2012 her works have been shown in various galleries and art spaces in Italy and Iceland. Her work focuses on the human body—its connections and interactions with the surrounding space. In recent years, she has increasingly focused on materiality: folds, draping, and the drape of fabric, as well as its relationship to the body.
